Some Thoughts For The New Year

Here are some thoughts for the New Year. Actually, not just for the New Year, but anytime:

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1

Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things. Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything. Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength.                   1 Chronicles 29:11-12

Praise the name of God forever and ever, for he has all wisdom and power. He controls the course of world events; he removes kings and sets up other kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the scholars. Daniel 2:20-21

The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. Lamentations 3:22-23

Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection.                        Proverbs 30:5

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8

A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. Proverbs 11:25

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7:12

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

Seek the kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. Matthew 6:33

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Romans 12:12

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5

The Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love. Psalm 147:11

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen. Revelation 22:21

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Thank you Phyllis for those precious words, given to us from our loving God. His word applies, not only to the coming year, but to the coming age, which all true believers look, anxiously toward. So, let us all try to live each day by these words and shine light into this sinful world so that some hearts may be changed from a heart of stone to a heart of flesh and be transformed, as Paul was on the road to Damascus, that others might know the love of our God through Jesus Christ.
    Happy 2026, Phyllis.
