About

A Bible that is falling apart is usually owned by someone who isn’t.—Charles Spurgeon

Phyllis Farringer

loves Jesus, and loves to proclaim God’s goodness and faithfulness in all things. She writes devotions and inspirational articles. You may have seen some of her pieces in various publications, such as Decision Magazine, Focus on the Family, or Christianity Today Bible Studies. She has also written for several anthologies including, Cup of Comfort for Moms, and God Allows U-Turns. While living in the Kansas City area, she served on the Advisory Board of Heart of America Christian Writers Network. Currently, she is a member of Word Weavers International.

She married her best friend a few decades ago.

They are still married, and he is still her best friend. Their two children have left their nest to establish their own, and have expanded their family to include a wonderful son-in-law, a precious daughter-in-law, and eight grandchildren.

When she is not writing or leading a Bible study she enjoys reading, sailing, hiking in the mountains or visiting the beach. She and her husband now live in the foothills of Western North Carolina, where they share a home with their dog, Maggie, who needs constant re-assurances of how special she is.
